Secular waves of American history, like 1619 Project depicts, is only small part of truth that starts back in 1605 with Pastor Robert Hunt in Jamestown based on religious freedom (which includes secularism).  Should Pastors be involved in politics?  God established government, church, and family.  Marriage, abortion, gender, Israel, military - are all addressed in scripture.  We're all sinners, that is what qualifies us for salvation.  We've gotten here by being silent, and majority of blame falls at the feet of pastors.  American foundation is based from original sources is founded on a Biblical worldview.  Render to Ceasar what is Ceasar, and to God what belongs to God.  Christianity is not a spectator game.  Pastors must be found faithful and stand boldly for truth!
